Fall Wedding Inspiration - Real Southerly Wedding
From cool weather and cute scarves to pumpkins and crisp leaves, it’s beginning to feel like fall in Opelika, Alabama! And at The Southerly Warehouse, we are SO excited to share some of our beautiful, fall weddings with you.
“Fall has always been my favorite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale.” ― Lauren DeStefano
With the fall season, comes timeless and romantic fall weddings. Below you will see one of our featured fall weddings.
Let's Talk Chair Layout
One of my favorite parts of this ceremony layout is the angled chair set-up. Angling your chairs inward towards the bride and groom creates an intimate feel for you and your guests. If you have the option to choose your own pew or chair layout, you can't go wrong with this welcoming feel.
As you can see, our antique chandeliers paired with soft falling LED lights made for a romantic setting. You may notice in the far left corner a cocktail table. The bride and groom chose to incorporate unity sand in their ceremony with their son. We absolutely love this idea!
Make A Bold Statement
One of my favorite things at a wedding is a statement color. Whether you choose a statement pattern (think polka dots or stripes) or a bold color, it makes a lasting impression.
Incorporating bold coppers and golds in with their sweetheart table made for a great statement piece at their reception.
One of the ways you can cut your costs is to host your ceremony in the same location as your reception. While a lot of people love the traditional church option, a more modern choice is also a great money saver! Choosing to host your wedding ceremony in the same location as the reception allows you to keep your decorations up for the reception as well as eliminate the possible cost of paying for two separate locations. It's a win-win!
You will see that their reception took place in the SAME room as their ceremony. Immediately following the ceremony, my staff and I "flipped" the Chandelier Room from ceremony to reception. Using the same ceremony chairs, we put out the dining tables and linens. Centerpieces were pre-made by the bride's family and ready to be placed on the tables.
A Sweeter Side
How cute is this dessert set-up?! From the wine barrels to the naked cake, we can't get enough of this sweet corner.
The family of the bride handmade these rustic beautiful cake stands. Guests also loved the mini cheese cake cubes available at the bottom of the cake stands too!
The bride and groom's mirrored cake topper included their son. The naked cake look paired perfectly with their rustic theme.
You will notice that the bride and groom chose to have their refreshment bar set-up in our Garage Room. This was perfect for allowing guests to grab a refreshing drink while The Southerly staff flipped the Chandelier Room from ceremony into reception mode.
We had a great time hosting this beautiful family and wish them all the best in the years to come!
Congrats again to the happy couple! Stay tuned to see more real weddings at The Southerly Warehouse.
always more to come!
